Are trenches braids of 5k better than 25k braids? Do you like paying 25k for braids just for the comfort/ AC enjoyment etc?

Ladies,I need your answer.

Those trenches people have to be the winners

There might be a few exceptions but I want to believe that in general those experienced folks that have been doing it for years in one offsite shack carry the braiding industry.

It depends. I actually do agree that braids from premium places have this extra finesse. It is not just about the braids, but the before and after hair treatment. Most of the trenches braiders do not know anything about protective styling. They just grip your edges and leave you with heavy headache and chop-chop-hair.

They are good, but they need a lot of guidance.

I made my hair for N800. Though I paid her N2000 out of my own benevolence.

Well, trenches braids are actually the only kinds I've rocked (and I get a trove and lots of compliments). I have never been in a high-class salon, nor made a crazily expensive hair before, so I have no experiences to compare lipsrsealed. But imo, I think the classy ones just have better optics and aesthetics, when you see them in pictures. Trenches braids, and when you see them in real life, can give the expensive ones a run for their money.

And yes, all those local hairdressers have years of experience... that might be another reason why they are so good.

And true too, dem sabi hold person scalp plus destiny join. Kilode. grin grin grin

Well, whenever I opt to do braids, I prefer to have the braider come over to my place. The particular lady that does my braids is extremely neat. I met her through my SIL.

Of course I don't pay her the 'trenches' rates (commonly known as salun ya mtaa in my country), neither do I pay her the ajebutter rates, but I give her enough to motivate her to leave the trenches and come over to my place. smiley

I went to one trenches hairdresser a no d she threw scissors at her son. Big scissors! That one for cutting attachment.

I just picked my bags and left. Very wicked woman. I told her she would finally succeed in pushing that boy away from her.

Okayyy. This may be one downside lipsrsealed lipsrsealed. Chisos!

You know sef, normally, people of that strata are rarely great in interpersonal relationships. Beating, shouting, curses, sending omo ise on errands and overworking them (might not be in all cases).

I'll like to think the high-end hairdressers are more composed and well-behaved, educated. You want to be showing razz behaviour in front of "big" customer wey come pay 20k for hair? grin

Spot on!!! The premium hair salons are very good for pre and post hair treatment. And also the finesse.

Lmao. The trenches hairdressers really dey give person headache especially if your scalp is soft and they pull the hair. undecided

There are also others that are REALLY good and can handle hair well using those treatments. I tell them what to do for my hair.

Hair for 800? Na braids? If na braids, give me your plug.
