√x + √x =√8 2√x =√4 × √2 2√x = 2 × √2 2√x = 2√2 Divide both sides by 2 2√x / 2 = 2√2 / 2 √x=√2 Square both sides (√x)²=(√2)² Hence, x=2 Cc ManirBK 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Dogalmighty17:The answer is 2 Mathematics is behind every damn pixel on your phone. Every damn 3D video game you ever played in your life is composed purely of mathematics Vectors geometry to be precise. Matrics multiplication, Sin, Cosine, Tangent.... That was my BSc Project programing 3D graphics from ZERO scratch. I reached about 20% of what this guy did before I submitted my project. There was no internet, no YouTube. Just one book and the rest was thinking and calculating. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ih20l3pJoeU 2 Likes |

Stayingalive:sqrt x + sqrt x=sqrt 8 square both side sqrt x)^2 + sqrtx)^2=sqrt8.)^2 square will cancel square root then giving you a perfect equation x+x=8 2x=8 divide both side by 2 =4 go back to the equation to check if the answer is correct sub x for 4 4+4=8 if you think it is not correct then i will like to get advice from you ![]() (Prove) |

Amah70: I don't get you And you've written wrong numbers and equation. Look carefully at what I wrote. There's something called dyslexia. It's a condition where someone's eyes are shifting up and down the place And can't focus clearly. Some people have it but they don't know. They can't focus on + - x ÷ And consequently, fail maths. Then go around blaming the whole world instead.

Amah70:I don't think you studied science or engineering. This type of problem is solved exactly as it was written in algebraic format without evaluating the actual numbers. I've already solved it in the comments above. I just added the 1.414 values to indicate that the values correspond. Maybe you're good in drama or business or social media events. I will not argue with you in those fields as that is not my career direction. But this is maths. There's no argument in maths. Just Learn. 1 Like |

Let's solve the equation \(\sqrt{x} + \sqrt{x} = \sqrt{8}\). First, simplify the left-hand side: \[ \sqrt{x} + \sqrt{x} = 2\sqrt{x} \] So, the equation becomes: \[ 2\sqrt{x} = \sqrt{8} \] To isolate \(\sqrt{x}\), divide both sides by 2: \[ \sqrt{x} = \frac{\sqrt{8}}{2} \] Next, simplify \(\frac{\sqrt{8}}{2}\): \[ \sqrt{8} = \sqrt{4 \cdot 2} = \sqrt{4} \cdot \sqrt{2} = 2\sqrt{2} \] Thus, \[ \sqrt{x} = \frac{2\sqrt{2}}{2} = \sqrt{2} \] To find \(x\), square both sides: \[ x = (\sqrt{2})^2 = 2 \] So, the solution to the equation is: \[ x = 2 \] |
