men's misplaced ego is also to blame here... men would rather die than go to the police station to report domestic abuse from their wives. police men probably wouldnt even take his complaint seriously and would instead tell him to "go back home and be a man!"

I don't believe in quelling violence with violence.instead of returning the slap tell her to leave your house because when he returns the violence, nobody will say na she start am first, they'll call him woman beater

telling her to leave the house wont solve the problem either... you need to do something that will STOP THE ABUSE once and for all... and only equal force (in return) will do that.

here is a simple clue: most abusers will feel remorse after abusing their partner and will say sorry and then claim they will never do it again, until they DO IT AGAIN... and then come back with the same yeye "i am sorry" and fake remorse. if you allow someone to have NO respect for you or the r/ship you guys are in, then thats exactly what is gonna happen. you have to show that person that you will NOT ACCEPT to be abused ever again, by fighting back (whether male or female)
