Aba is a large commercial city in the southeast, so having an airport in Abia is not a bad idea

Airstrip is better. Nearby ebonyi should serve as a lesson

Another white elephant project, what's the distance from Port Harcourt to Aba or from Owerri to Aba. Otti should better concentrate on roads in Abia state and leave this airport of a thing. There are so many roads begging for attention in Abia. The one Umahi built in Ebonyi and that of Dapo Abiodun in Ogun haven't witnessed any commercial flight since their commissioning. Wasting scarce resources up and down on projects that have no bearing on the populace

Airport is good but not necessary at the moment. How many abians travel by air, does abia state attract people who travel by air? How much money will the airport generate for the state,
Ignorant people will rejoice about this just for the sheer glamour of having an airport, without thinking about its economic viability.

it won't be a bad idea because it's LP's Otti but Ebonyi airport built by Umahi is a bad idea, and Lagos to Calabar coastal road is a bad idea too because it's Tinubu

Thought they condemned the idea of having an airport as planned by the Ikpeazu regime, saying, it wasn't a priority project.

Shut up.... Ikpeazu diverted money there and stole it... He himself said he cancelled the airport idea... Stop thinking through your nyash...

How can someone be vying to be governor only to loot his state( his home state) dry. Our politicians are so wicked. No wonder their children barely make a headway in life.

You can't cheat the poor and get away with it. Most of them end up poor men. They end up jumping from one party to another after all is gone. Gov Alex, weldone sir. I'm an advocate of good governance, irrespective of ethnicity or tribe.

Another waste of money loading. What's the need of building an airport when 3 of ur neighbouring SE states already have airports? Money that should have been channeled into something worthwhile is what they`re abt wasting on something that won't have any economic importance. And the funny thing is that the same pple condemning the fg for planning to build the Lagos/Calabar coastal rd are the ones that will praise Otti for this waste. Reason why i don`t believe in any Nigerian politician. They`re only angels when they`re not in authority or power.

Let them build it, it would reduce the number of hours spent on dangerous roads to get to airports in those neighbouring states.

No 1 achievement is ensuring peace and stability in Nigeria especially South East.

This time last year, Simon Ekpa and his boys were always flogging elders from that side mercilessly.

Ok, I have traveled by air, my brothers and cousins travel by air, my uncles travel by air and in fact, the hours spent on the road, or the decision as to whether to use the to Enugu, port harcourt or Imo airports stops them from traveling sometimes.

So yes, Abia needs an airport, and the Abia airport maybe more viable than the Enugu and Ebonyi airports.

Preferring Ebonyi people should perpetually remain their slaves is what they entirely dream and wish for.

Atleast one can see and feel what governor Otti is doing in Abia.
Tinubu has loaded over 50,000 social media influences to market Tinubu. The only result is EPIN PA WA.... Nothing to see or feel about Tinubu's promises and projects.

They will never learn. Another white elephant project.

Airports are a waste of money. All states that have built theirs complain of little or no traffic to them.

The former governor said he was only trying to build a 'tradeport'.. My first time hearing that..

Most of the past governors engaged in this wasteful ventures and it didn't well.. Ebonyi and Nasarawa were the latest case-in-point.. those projects are rottening away right now..

What about building an industrial park, free-trade zones, agricultural value-addition companies (such as palm, rubber, etc); fruit juice companies; the list is endless.. but governors' priorities are new government houses, governors lodge, airport, 🤔🤔

What is all these🤔🤔

Nasarawa could have used the money to modernise their state capital. I learnt that place is a disgrace.

Not all county in the UK has airport but standard train stations that can travel all around the country that is what Nigeria should achieve by federal government collaborating with states to achieve this. I don't know why things are done so awkwardly in nigeria

Please keep quite. Ebonyi shouldn't be talking about airport now. That money spent to build that disco club called an airport should have been used to alleviate the suffering of the people in that state. Civil servants are suffering in that state. David Umahi really dealt with them.

Since the airport was opened, how many planes have taken off and landed in that airport? Waste of money by Umahi. Even the multiple bridges built by Umahi in abakaliki and Uburu (his home town), how many vehicles use the bridges?

Mind you, I am not even igbo but I lived in abakaliki for close to 5 years.

He even want to build an airport, he built a disco club with colour riot and called it an airport.

See airport be like restaurant.

Some of you just open mouth and talk without making proper findings.
Work is still ongoing at Ebonyi airport run way, that's why flight activities hasn't commenced there
