I want to ask you one question

What if oil dried up in Nigeria or the world move away from oil?

How would the country survive without oil revenue? This one everyone is already crying of inflation due to declining oil revenue. What would happen of there are no more oil revenue?

Let me burst your bubbles. America use to save their oil reserves while buying other people oil because of fear of the future. But today they have seen that oil has no future and reasons they start selling their oil.

Nigerian oil revenue will continue to decline every 4years. Year in year out and we shouldn’t expect anymore increases of it. And foreign loans will continue to pile up. The inflation will continue to get worst.

A Nigerian saying Nigeria has no future is claiming they themself have no future, and I'd wonder why they'd rather die when most of us would just evolve.

Nigeria survived before oil was discovered in Nigeria, so why would Nigeria not survive when oil dries up?

When Chinese, Indians, and Lebanese emigrate to countries all over the world, it is fine.

When Nigerians emigrate, it is a sign of the end of the world and the end of Nigeria.

Ignorant idiots typing rubbish.

The virgin oil wells will eventually dry up...

Or won't they?

The world is also moving away from oil as a source of energy. So eventually, those oil wells would become worthless... Won't they?

Funny how quick to insult people some of you are sometimes even in your...! lipsrsealed

Nigeria will definitely survive every storm encountered, but may never witness a single progress as long as we still practicing federal system of government.

Presently, the country is only meant for the rich and political class and not the masses. I forseen a serious and brutal revolution in the nearest future if nothing is done now to mitigate the suffering of the masses.

For this not to happen, government must find a way to return fuel to #200 or below, bring dollar down below #1000 mark and ensure regular electricity supply to our industries. Government must drop an idea of getting more money to fund social programs that always proved to end up in the pockets of few and use the fund to bring back subsidies for the benefit of all.

If the oil dries up then we pay tax na

Let's see how people who pay 50% of their income as tax would vote along religious or tribal sentiments

hyperinflation. For any country to be prosperous they need foreign currency revenue to function.

The oil reserves are intact and will never dry up as hydrocarbons are a replenishing resource (Google : Abiotic theory on hydrocarbons).

Nigeria's oil production is low owing to two main factors :

1. Insecurity and vandalisation of oil production platforms.

2. Deinvestment in oil production by London and New York. No money is being allocated to prospective oil drillers by the finance houses in the west. This is because the money changers in London and New York, who pinned their fiat currency on the world's oil trade (Petroldollar) are now aware that the biotic theory is false and that oil isn't a finite irreplaceable or irreplensihable commodity.

The dollar will suffer if oil is found out to be infinite . The USD needs oil to trade high to keep the fiat scam ongoing. Higher oil prices means more demand for dollars by importing nations to pay for oil. But with China signing new trade alliances directly with Russia and some global south oil producing nations , thereby bypassing the dollar, the USD is under serious threat. It's for this reason, investments into oil and gas production is being cut so that an artificial scarcity can spring up that will keep oil prices high, and the dollar still in demand.

The only way forward is to enter direct trade relations with BRIC nations and dump the useless dollar once and for all.

But nigeria wasn't operating this current structure then will the west and north agree to share their natural resources with other parts of nigeria if oil dries up?

Oil will not dry up. As it is produced from ongoing geological activity and not the accumulated remains of dead decaying bio matter.

Oil remains the cheapest energy source.

One barrel of crude contains approximately 40-60MW of energy

As a resource material, crude can synthesise any natural occuring resin and is a major industrial input in virtually everything being produced and consumed around the planet. Even the phone you are tapping trash on will cost an arm and a leg if alternative materials outside oil derivatives were not used in manufacturing it

Note also that the money changers are very afraid of crude not being traded in their fiat currencies and so want to nuke crude as a global resource for a centralised nuclear powered stations that will be used to power EV vehicles. Same vehicles that will be impossible to manufacture without crude oil products.

They invented the entire climate change scam to wean you off oil.

Be guided in wisdom when next you choose to post foolishness here

Nigeria resources were not shared with anyone but was exploited for the exploiters until we gained independence and Nigeria became our own.

As for this current structure, we vote for it every 4 years, and can change it whenever we want, just that we don't realise yet how powerful we can be.

You can draft me a letter to the senators until we come up with something to send them to consider changing it. Then I will beg everyone here to email a copy to all of them until they listen.

Nigerians need to understand the process of recalling national assembly members and take it very serious if we want meaningful change. This guys don't make any law for the benefit of Nigerians but just themselves. The fear of recall will but some lil sense in their brains. Anyone with that knowledge here ?
