YOU DON’T NEED TO MISS OUT ON THIS STORY.

My name is Cynthia. Am an Igbo woman. A learned colleague. By that title one will know that I am a lawyer. I did my law diploma in captain elechi Amadi polytechnic in Port Harcourt before going through with the direct entry to University of Calabar. I now reside in port Harcourt practicing law, while my parents are in Enugu. I visit them when I want to and also when the need arises. I don’t depend on them because I have make my own money, that will take care of all my needs.

My friends called me a workaholic but that is what I believe all women should be. I have so many clients who usually call me for case. I studied criminal law and I am so good in that area that I find it hard to keep a time for myself because cases comes in everyday on my desk. I did my masters and currently I am doing my PhD on criminal law. I teach criminal law in Rivers State University.

I am 36 years old with a well built shape. I am dark in complexion, people normally say it is black beauty, which even matches with my average height. God really took time to create me. But in all this I was single. And I was proud of that because I don’t need husband wahala. Anytime I feel like cooking I cook if I don’t feel like then I won’t cook. But in the situation of being married I will now take on the burden of my husband what he will eat, what he likes etc gosh it’s stressful.

My parent hate it when I say all this things to them. Not as if I haven’t been in love. I have open my heart so many time but all I get is heartbreak so I had to close my heart and lock it with padlock. To me all men are the same. They want sex after that they are gone. In one of my relationship my boyfriend use the money I give to him to spend on another girl when I found out about it I got angry at him I confronted him asking him why he did that to me but all he could say is I was never in love with you.

That day the trauma I went through it was God that saved me. But my parents won’t bother to understand this they are the biggest problem I have because I was always insulted and humiliated because of marriage. They will be like “if you don’t get married, I will disown you.”

I am the eldest among my mom children. We are 4 grils 1 boy. The rest are married apart from me and my brother. I don’t need to talk about the man because he will get married to any woman he wishes.
My sisters always join my mother to insult me. The insults became too much and I decided to get married but I haven’t find the right man for myself. Not as if the man must be perfect in all things but I needed a man not a boy if you know what I mean.

I live in a 3 bedroom flat in Rumuomasi Port Harcourt. Like I said earlier I have the money but love was far.
It’s another day for work and as usual my friend, a fellow learned colleague, her name is Miracle. She always come to my house so that we can go to work together. Miracle is fair in complexion with a gap tooth, she is so beautiful having a well curve backside. Sometimes I will look at her and say to her in pigin God take time create you.
