In Comparative Public Policy 101, it's apt to make comparative analysis with countries that are/were contemporaries (E.g. Nigeria and China, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore) or people who are contemporaries (Peter Obi and Tinubu, Fashola).

Technically speaking, HE Peter Obi @PeterObi; former Lagos State Governors Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Babatunde Fashola were guber contemporaries. Save for rigging, Obi won the 2003 Governorship Election in Anambra State, and should have been sworn in like Tinubu who was going for his second term, on May 29, 2003. Howbeit, the Uba Brothers rigged Chris Ngige of the @OfficialPDPNig in, with their Abuja connection and in cahoots with the Professor Maurice Iwu-led @inecnigeria.

It took Obi until March 17, 2006, to reclaim his mandate via the courts. All thanks to the late President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua who insisted that the Supreme Court must do the right thing in Anambra State, at the time. By May 29, 2007, Tinubu exited office, while Fashola came on board. While Obi left office on March 17, 2014, Fashola left May 29, 2015. So, Obi, Tinubu, and Fashola were guber contemporaries and must be compared.

A public knowledge document entitled: Growth Indicators To Assess Low-Middle Income Countries," compiled by the Global Data Lab (GDL), an independent data and research center at the Institute of Management Research, Radboud University, Nijmegen, Netherlands, unveiled that the Peter Obi administration in Anambra State (2007 to 2014), beat the Tinubu administration of Lagos State (2003-2007), as well as the Fashola administration of Lagos State (2007-2014), in every Growth Indicators used to measure low-middle income countries like Nigeria.

Obi beat President, Tinubu and his god-son, Fashola, on six critical socio-economic and growth indicators such as:

1. Gross National Income per Capita

2. Life Expectancy

3. Human Development Index (HDI)

4. Health Index

5. Educational Index

6. Income Index.

Since Educational Index is the crux of this thread, let's chop statistics today by critically reviewing the performances of Obi, Tinubu, and Fashola while they held forth as Governors of their respective States.

The GDL document that is a public knowledge document even to lunatics like Reno Omokri, Femi Fani-Kayode, as well as jaundiced mainstream newsmen like @seunokin, and news orgs like @PulseNigeria247, @DailyPostNGR, @pmnewsnigeria, et al, revealed that on Educational Index, the Tinubu administration in Lagos (2003-2007) achieved a scandalously abysmal rating of 0.011%.

The Fashola administration in Lagos (2007-2014) achieved a fair rating of 10.73%.Both ratings of Tinubu and Fashola cannot be compared to the 22.5% superlative rating of HE Peter Obi- @PeterObi within a space of 4 years that was reviewed.

Between 1999 and 2014, the Lagos State administrations of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his political god-son, Babatunde Raji Fashola, boasted of raking trillions of Naira in Internally Generated Revenues (IGRs). This is to the extent that millions of Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora were reportedly told that Lagos can run on its own without FAAC Allocations.
By 2007, Tinubu left Lagos with a debt burden of $243,283, 449.01 (Debt Management Office).

In 2009, Fashola obtained a whooping $90 million (N13.5 billion at the time) World Bank Education Loan to fund teaching and learning infrastructure under the Lagos State Eko Secondary Education Project. By 2015, Fashola left Lagos with a debt burden of $1,431,474,719.70 (DMO).

With these humongous resources at the beck and call of Tinubu and Fashola, many a Lagosians thought the era where pupils and students across the public schools in the state would study under dilapidated school buildings, sit on bare floor, tyres, broken furniture or even broke windows would be a thing of the past. But zilch.

With the humongous resources available to Tinubu and Fashola while they held forth as Lagos State Governors, millions of Lagosians were shocked to the point of un-shockability, discombobulated, petrified, and mystified, to see pupils and students across the public schools in the state studying under dilapidated school buildings, sit on bare floor, tyres, broken furniture, and broken windows.

With the humongous resources available to Tinubu and Fashola while they held forth as Lagos State Governors, for the fact that pupils and students across the public schools in the state were compelled to study under dilapidated school buildings, sit on bare floor, tyres, broken furniture, and broken windows, and even to date, is enough evidence for the chest-thumping @officialEFCC to immediately without fear or favor reopen the corruption indictment files of Tinubu and Fashola. If former Lagos State Governor, @AkinwunmiAmbode was being probed, and the funds in his bank accounts frozen, why not Tinubu and Fashola?

In the final analysis, before I sign out for other personal businesses, it must be reiterated that, unlike the calamitous Tinubu currently destroying the Nigerian economy at the center, and his god-son, Fashola, through his massive investments, the @PeterObi administration transmogrified Anambra's education ranking from No. 27 to No. 1 in Nigeria, in line with the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

Between March 17, 2006 and March 17, 2014, the Obi administration built from foundations to finishing levels, the Igbariam campus of the Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu University (COOU); the Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku, Awka, as well as rehabilitated a whopping 1,320 dilapidated primary and secondary schools within 8 years, in line with his Public Policy Document entitled: Anambra Integrated Development Strategy, ANIDS.

So, when you hear Anambra pupils and students continuously doing exceedingly well in local, national, and international academic competitions, be aware that the State is still benefiting from the foundational seeds of educational growth and development planted by H.E. @PeterObi between March 17, 2006 and March 17, 2014.

Continuing to shut down this super information highway with Obi's massive investments and lasting legacies in Anambra's Education Sector will be tantamount to over-flogging the dead horse. I hereby sign out for other personal businesses.

Dear @officialEFCC, @icpcnigeria, kindly help millions of concerned Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora, launch a deep-rooted investigation into Lagos State Government Accounts. The rot in Lagos Education Sector is disheartening.

Dear @seunokin, there is an urgent need to beam your searchlight on Lagos Schools. The state of rot is heart-rending.

Who told the author that Yaradua was the president in 2006?

If truly Obi beat Tinubu and Fashola in all indices, where are people leaving Anambra to Lagos and not vice versa.

We all knew how the judiciary was arm twisted by Obasanjo all because the Uba brothers had problem with Ngige if not, Obi wouldn't have been a governor.

Ndi supleme court governor

Hehehe! Not when the fellas who claimed they when to school are criminal certificate forgers and racketeers. Meanwhile, politics is not everything. Education without productivity is a total waste of time.

This is why there are many unemployed graduates on the street waiting for the government to spoon-feed them with job, because they lack the skills they ought to have acquired when they were very young. Everything is not about politics
