You can’t blame the banks, by default the limit is in place.

You’re given the option to increase your daily limit. They WARN you seriously when attempting to process the request to increase your daily limit

Zenith bank is one of the loose banks I know. It might even be the work of an insider. I left the bank last year when all my money was wiped out like that too.

Firstly they create fake loan offers with very low interest rates on social media platforms, then whoever get tempted to take the loan will provide all vital informations they required, once you provide those information they'll use it to open bank accounts on different mobile banks... Those accounts is what they use for scamming.

Opay and Co should be well regulated. Any money that fraudulently enters there is gone.

They open accounts with fake identities. The said Cecilia Okoro may be a young man somewhere that used the innocent woman's identity to open the account.

Such accounts can hardly be opened in conventional banks, as their KYCs are better handled

All digital banks have upgraded their verification to using bvn & NIN. Even if u decide to open account without bvn & NIN, there is a transaction limit. You can't receive more than 300k in such account & u can't send more than 50k per day

Without a token? One can transfer any amount on upgraded account, but such large transactions requires a hard token or OTP

I shook my head and I had to school her on the effects of this menace on our society.
In my usual characteristics, I would have ignored her because minding my business is something I've come to fall in love it. But, I just couldn't let that depraved mentality slide.

I told her how victims of this crime, in most cases, are pushed to the brim of committing suicide. I was really disappointed, a mother for that matter!
