The only way to detox this platform is to enable phone number verification and even a verified badge for people who completes a KYC verification process.
.
Then there should be an algorithm that ranks comments based on the choice of words and ratio of likes to dislikes.
When people know that getting a new account after a ban is impossible, they will behave. Also KYC will allow people to own up to their posts and be more responsible online.
.
Right now, one dick and harry will just post nonsense as a first comment and it automatically stays.
Likewise this is the era of AI, mods cannot effectively manage a huge forum like this. Employing advanced AI to remove and moderate trashy contents will even speed up the site and server storage space.
.
Mr. Seun should reach out to me and let me give him a good contract.

I totally agree with you; I have also suggested this verification system too, in fact only verified people’s post will be on the front page.

Comments should be ranked by sets of criteria which should include verification and likes; that way these tribal and troll comments will easily get lost
Seun please consider all these

Nwannem nwanyi, I will give you 10k right now if you can produce any comment of mine that insults another tribe.
My argument on this platform has always been with my Igbo tribesmen and my points since 2014 has been;
1. We must align with other tribes if we desire political power in Nigeria. Nobody gives you power on a platter of gold at least not a country like Nigeria.
2. When Nnamdi Kanu came up I was among the few Igbo voices that didn't support his antics and modalities. At the end all I predicted about him happened
3. Since 2014, Igbos have been antagonizing APC while other tribes and regions like SS, NC and others that antagonized it with us have moved on, we are still stuck in 2015. Please don't tell me the situation of Nigeria because every Nigerian complains about government when they are not the tribe in power.
4. When Peter Obi came in 2022 I refused to join the bandwagon because I knew that it would amount to nothing. Besides the way my tribesmen went about Peter Obi presidential ambition was nothing short of banditry.

If all that I outlined above and more makes you think that I am tribalistic then so be it

My dear

I'm not nnamdi kanu supporter, I don't like him same with many Igbos. My mom's elder sister will always hate him because she said anybody that saw the civil war won't support what nnamdi kanu was doing.

You said the igbos should allign with others to get the presidency right? Who did they allign with when they voted Obasanjo, Yaradua, good luck and Atiku with block votes oo??

Are you all about getting the presidency or good governance

Nne, my statement is not a personal thing to you but a generalized one.
On your comment about voting PDP since 1999. Can you say that it was an Igbo presidency? Did Igbos fare better in those governments as citizens and stakeholders?
Also when you talk about good governance you make it seem like you are not a Nigerian. Nigerian politics is always about political power, power sharing and ethnicity and everyone including you wants your tribesman to be in power. Let's not pretend about that.

In the case of Nnamdi Kanu, he got the kind of support he got because of 2015. Igbos saw his emergence as a form of the continued opposition to the Buhari government, APC and the loss of the 2015 election by the person Igbos supported. It wasn't about Biafra. No Igbo was and is still ready to go anywhere. But we never bargained that the issue of Nnamdi Kanu will come around and bite us in the as.s in the form of insecurity in the SE. Yagazie nwannem nwanyi. Ekwugo too much.

egift, you are part of the problem of Nairaland. Make no mistake, you aren't constructivee or sensible in your contributions. Your comments are so tainted with self-hate and retribution against anything South no matter the subject of discussion. You know it's against Nairaland rules that stipulate you comment on the subject under discussion and not digress

Speak for yourself nnaa, I want good governance so as millions of other Igbos who has been rejecting the menace called Apc.

The Igbo masses have benefited from PDP government more than this clueless Apc we have, the only Igbos benefiting from this Apc are corrupt governors and election riggers.

Stop telling yourself that lie that Igbos are playing opposition or wants their person as the presidency.

If you want to support Apc, do it like others before you, stop gaslighting anyone

I am a core igboist and am proud of that. But you, you fight your people because of party loyalty. Tufiakwa!
