Easier said than done... You think vengeance is something you can get just by relying on your rage and anger? If he isn't careful, this case may be the end of his own freedom as well. If he kills the man and investigation points to him, which most likely would happen as there is an issue linking them, he may be sentenced to life imprisonment, if not, they can target his mom and kill her too...

Wisdom and patience are needed in the issue. Best advice is to sue the bastard to court. There is no court that would acquit him since there are witnesses.

Hello everyone, I got a call from a man in the Village (Elele, Rivers State) on Tuesday night, that we should look for a way to come and carry our mother as she has slumped and was rushed to a hospital, where she was in coma.

He explained to me that my mother went to demand for the payment of the debt the man is owing her and he angrily beat her up, he stripped her , tore her clothes, her underwear was torn too. I’m literally crying as I type this. Everyone that tried to stop him he chased with the machete. Now my dad is late , else he won’t have tried this.

I am in Lagos so I’ve not seen her my sister that was able to travel to Elele to see her sent me the pictures.

She is out of coma now, but still unable to sit or stand or talk. We also noticed she is bleeding from her private part.

We arrested the evil man with the Elele police but the community Igwe bailed him, he is a known person in the community and owns a hotel there.

I really want this man to receive this level of Physical pain or more, because my mum almost lost her life.

I don’t know what to do or how to go about getting justice for her.

The first mistake was to complain out loud.
First thing is to treat your mom and leave the guy to live om borrowed life and make sure he sees it coming.

Although your story lack clarity. That is you didn't state the transaction between them and how much he is owing your mum. As these basic details will help you get people that can be of help to you and your family.

That not withstanding, some Nigerians are very ungrateful and wicked. How can you cause a harm to someone you are owing? This is not an isolated issue. Going forward, people should be careful who they help and if you must do, watch your back. Let it be a complete transaction. It is better you give the person a discount while you collect the rest in full once and for all than allowing the person to be owing you.

I would advise you remove his name and number from here. He could use this against you. Be discreet about your next move and make sure you take legal steps. Don't do anything extra legal as it seems he is more brutish and dangerous.

Don't take some of these advices telling you to mobilise boys to beat him up..

Get a sound legal advice first and see if you can get an NGO support. Then file a petition to the Area Commander where this happened and copy the Gender Desk Unit of the State Police Command.

I'm so sorry that this happened to your mother.

After your mum recovers, she can not go back to live in that village as that man will kill her if care is not taken. Relocate her from the hospital to wherever you stay for now to prevent that man killing her.

It is very clear that people in that so called village are either wicked or do not like your mum because they waited and watched while that man beat your mum for a whole 2 hours and when she eventually slumped and went into coma, a man from the same village that could have intervened to stop the assault is now phoning you to come and see your mum in the hospital.

Whoever watched your mum being brutalised for 2 hours in that village and did nothing but watch instead of either stopping the man or calling the police is either evil or hates your Mum and this includes the man who called you.

Don't let her go back to live in that village even for one day as that man will kill her.
