Joy,
Welcome.

Everything you need for the development and improvement of your literary skills are on the discussion board.

There is nothing missing.
From literary terms and the examples to corrections of common grammatical errors and mistakes.
Links to publishers and literary agents are available.
Local and international competitions are available.

Just take your time and search the topics.

The best and most gifted writers online and offline are on Nairaland. They don't have to display their real identities.

In poetry, if Kongi and twenty of the best poets in Nigeria stand up, Orikinla will be standing with them.

Members of Nairaland have been named among the best new writers from Nigeria.

You are in the right league.

Just share your knowledge. Because, the legacy of knowledge is the greatest heritage.

Welcome!

Orikinla. You are putting yourself in Kongi's league eh.

Doyin,
I don't have issues.

I can understand ayomorocco's plight.
If you meet her physically, you would be more informed on her case.

As a man thinks, so he is.
As a woman thinks, so she is.

I am blessed by my creator with the romantic looks and books to take me places and I love beauty and I am loved by beauty.

What you love will take care of you.

I don't know how to hate.
Because, I was born to love.

I see beyond my nose as shown on my The DARFUR Blog
I just completed a very important work on the crisis in Zimbabwe and a more enlightened and well travelled executive and writer said it is well researched. And I wrote it right in my guest quarters at the Nigeria LNG RA 1 on Bonny Island, Rivers State, Nigeria.
I have to learn ChiShona to write it.

By the way, who is ayomorocco? grin

Hello Joy1225. Welcome to the literature child board. I hope the threads you find here enlighten you (and if not, I hope they entertain you at least).

Let me take sometime to apologise to you in advance for what is about to degenerate into an ugly clash on your thread (though I will endeavour to move it to another thread). I have noticed that the Nairaland nonentity Orikinla has made himself known to you already. I’ll advice you to pay little heed to his claims of self-importance or success as they are in reality the demented and wishful rantings of a failure who sees the age of fifty fast approaching with no notable achievement to herald his old age.

As for you Orikinla or Michael Chima or Chima Eke or whatever name you choose to go by, I am laughing really hard here with my mates. I observed that all your attempts to see my photograph have failed and in your typical retarded manner, you have resorted to behaving like the gutter rat that you truly are. Soon people will hear you preaching about the word of God whilst you claim that you are a Christian {What a fucking hypocrite}. And you wonder why you are still a failure while fast approaching the age of fifty. If you like call me ugly, if you like call me a monster, all I can say is that nothing you do or say will affect me in the slightest as I am not the one who looks like an AIDS victim who is yet to recover from the effects of the Biafran war of over thirty years ago. If in your warped and deluded pea sized brain, you call yourself goodlooking [a description I am howling with laughter over] embarassed embarassed, I'd rather remain as ugly as a monster. grin grin

Anyway, I have seen that you are really desperate to take me on. I shall give you the opportunity to take your best shot at me. I will create a thread especially for this purpose. Please do not hesitate to lash out as much as your half baked brain can allow you to under the circumstance.

Out of respect for your old age, I shall let you take the first shot. Please don’t chicken out. Also, try to have respect for Joy1225’s thread by taking your petty, gossiping, shrivelled, old carcass to the thread I have created especially for you.

Hi joy ,
welcome to the literature corner.although i`m sorry that your entry has been heralded with 2 guys fighting over the cyber oceans seperating them with their keyboards.having premature beefs just for the joy of it and sucking up the controversy, not to mention abusing the original purpose of the thread.
Nowadays on nairaland, even pages dedicated to such graceful discussions as literature and religion are not spared from invaders, abeg, who will save us?
okay back to the topic, my name is iyke and im an editor(+many other things) with life and times magazine (have you heard of it?),you can check it out @ www.lifeandtimesmedia.com (i havent really had time to update it ,though).im really looking forward to getting in touch with young writers and if you have any write up or poem, feel free to send it (if it meets our criteria then i`m sure we can publish it).
as for orikinla (hmmmmmmmmmm) and ayomorroco, bury the hatchet you get,its a little bit early in your carreers for beefs- even if you are turning 50

This is highly uninspiring, a thread meant to educate and enlighten, turning into a battle field for two expected adults who pride themselves as knowing it all, been there, done that.
Please, you guys should give us a break and scram, we need some air.
Joy this guys have really drawn me away from the status quo, but i hope you take the advice and suggestion of worthy nairalanders who have deemed it fit to help you on your quest.
I wish you the best!!!!!

@
orikinla, ayomoroco, outside show is poor substitute of inner worth.

Seeing that the warring parties last touched this thread over six months ago. It looks like you just delighted in wading in a long dead issue and drawing unnecessary attention to it. Move on.
