Btw The Barcelona court today dismissed the charges of bribery against the club and laporta today only the charges of sports corruption remain which we probably know will still head nowhere due to lack of factual evidence from the accusers

A lot of top clubs changing their managers this summer; Barca, Liverpool, juventus, Bayern, Chelsea, AC Milan.

Unfortunately, Xavi's news has overshadowed this one. But nice to see things are going as expected, wrt this Negreira case.

Tbh I'm actually surprised he snubbed Chelsea with more money and a better salary package than us, I also read Bayern held talks with him about coming back, For him to wait for the squad even after laporta begged xavi to stay and also accept a mere 1+1 optional contract when the minimum is 2 years is kinda suspicious, maybe he sees something in this team we're not seeing or maybe he feels this could be his best chance to land another top profile job after being without work for long, remember laporta wanted him at first before he moved to Germany though the financial situation was much worse, I'll looking forward to see what he has to offer but I'm also cautious

To be clear, I wanted Xavi gone in a respectful way, not this fashion but that's in the past now because he's gone anyways. I was a confam Xavi out but not this way, no, not this way.

Meanwhile, talking about caution, yeah any rational person should be cautious about new appointments because it comes with uncertainties. So, like you I'm also very cautious with Flick.

Personally, only the appointment of Pep, Enrique and Klopp would've given me the utmost confidence but we have Flick now and I'm very pleased with him.

Time will tell!

You need more than 3 signings unless you want to deceive yourself.

Barca squad is far from decent compared to real Madrid yet Mbappe and endrick are coming in.

3/4 signings we are good

CB and midfielders aside DM are very ok

Laporta is just rubbishing his chances of winning the next election despite the good rebuilding job he's doing for the club
Person say he wan go, you begged him to stay only to sack him, Poor act of professionalism
I wanted Xavi out but not like this

In as much as I don't like the way Xavi was treated, I feel it's what is best for the club, if you want to be successful as a business man, you don't put emotions and sentiments first, you do what is best for your business regardless of how bad you'll feel afterwards.

Xavi is a good coach but he is not what we need at the moment, Xavi lacks tactics and ideas, most of the time, individual brilliance makes up for him and other times, individual mistakes hangs him, but in all, we need a coach that tactically win games.

We keep talking about the Barcelona DNA but I think that's what brought us to this rabbit hole that we find ourselves in at the moment, we don't have and cannot afford the quality to play the 'Barcelona' way anymore, sadly though.

What I care about right now is results, if we win the champions League while playing 'haram' football, I don't mind anymore because the embarrassment on European nights has been too much to bear

I support the dismissal of Xavi even though I like him, but he's not the sort of coach that can lead us anywhere, yes, he won La Liga in his first season but that was it! That was all! We got beaten by A Manchester United team that Sevilla trashed in the Europa League, that's poor, very poor!

We move! and while at it we'll get to witness what the new manager has for us

Love this, another good piece! 👍

Caution cause we are going to change our style of play from the classic tiki taka we are known for to a more intense and direct game with crazy high pressing and all out attack, even if we are going to play it cause Flick went to watch pep and de zerbi there'll be a variation of it, the players might struggle with it but with time they'll gradually adjust to it, I think we might struggle for some games then we'll kick off from there

Too old...the fact he hasn't been getting offers as a free agent means teams know his best years are behind.

This two people dey make me laugh.

Person carry personal assistant say na en goal keeping coach. grin

The fact that Stegen requested his renewal before he also renews gives even more credence to the fact that they are not serious individuals.

Just at Barca for the vibes.

I don't think Flick will cause Stegen much worry. Why? Because he always invites same Stegen to play in the German National team when was their coach.

What I expect is that Stegen will sit-up cause he knows Flick will not take Bullsit from any player.

Flick, Negelsman these guys do not rate Stergen...Even when Neur was not in good form and Stergen was killing it in Laliga, Flick still kept using Nuer.

Neur is almost 40 now, got injured and was out for almost a year, still came back and be #1 under Negalsmaan.

If Emi was from Germany, Neur for don chop bench same way Kahn chop bench for Lehman with both in the twilight of their career but Lehman was still showing top form.

I don't expect Flick to bench him immediately but if he doesn't go down quick and stop shots, he'll be dropped. Flick no too rate am!

I believe the Hansi Flick's contract of 1 year with an optional additional 1 year is actually good. If he performs he stays on, and if he fails, he goes leaving space for Jurgen Klopp (preferred by Laporta) after his one year holiday from coaching.

After one year out?? So we will now be changing coaches like toothpick. Issorite. I used to think it is only chelsea grin

It's 2 years not the 1+1 we previously thought but it's alright.
