I sat down not in a trance i recalled when i was in secondary school we were taught how the Portuguese and other European merchants came to our chiefs offered them gin, mirror clothes e.t.c and in their "wisdom" gave out their subjects as slaves not bother about the treatment meted to them red hot iron to brand them for their masters. I visited Aba musuem and same story with evidence i was told again. In our thinking what was wrong with these chiefs(you could have felt same way too if you ever had such stories real as they were) what makes us better in this generation if for personal gains we loot the national treasury and for a morsel of meat we sell our resources to these americans and europeans and leave our loved ones in poverty are we in any way different from those chiefs?
