Africans do make terrible friends, u know?  shocked shocked shocked
Given the option of being friends with an european (most of whom are very liberal to the things africans kill themselves for) is better than settling for an african . ,   . . . . .  shocked shocked shocked

Its however all about the person not the race.

I remember one saying: "you African people" as if she's not African
Re: Why Are Some African Ashamed Of Their Identity? by funkybaby(f): 7:15pm On Oct 08, 2009
@ post

beats me too. although, i will exempt nigerians and ghanians from this.

imagine a congolese girl telling someone she is 'black british'  undecided when the dude kept asking her where she was from? she did not mention congo. instead began blabbing nonsense about mixed parentage from her great great grand father.

meanwhile i have met guys that were born and bred in UK,  never stepped a foot in naija, and when asked the same question, its 'am a nigerian'.

we Nigerians are too full of ourselves, imagine a lady, cos you ask something from her, her hair style or what, she will bluff and throw you off.

na lagos girls dey do this one pass.

you see a nice weaveon (prolly a new weave in the market ) on their head and you walk up to them, smile, compliment their hairdo and nicely ask for the name of the weaveon. and they go like (with a very proud tone) '' i dont know it''

i usually give it back to such ladies. i tell them so you actually sat down and allowed someone glue or sew rubbish on your head without even bothering to know/ask what it is?

and i roll my eyes at them and walk away. nonsense !

while some nice chicks will give you the brand name of the weaveon, colour and even the name and address of the salon where the hairdo was done.  smiley
