My Redmi 9s had a weak battery
Started rebooting itself on Sunday so I changed it yesterday

But the rebooting hasn't stopped after changing the battery

It was fine all through yesterday after changing the battery and this morning...

The battery hold powers,so it's probably not the battery

Started rebooting again this afternoon..
When it started this afternoon thought it was the power flex but It's doesn't reboot when turned off

It's reboot stays on for at most three minutes then goes off
Rebooting takes about 30 seconds

while it doing all that it gets warm enough that you don't want to place on bare skin
it also gets slow and hangs

Any help πŸ™πŸΎπŸ™‡πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ
Flash the rom or do a factory reset.

If the phone has a side mounted fingerprint sensor, you might want to have it checked. It happened to one of my phones and I had to disable it before the rebooting stopped. Also if there's a software update, pls update ASAP. It's very likely software issue. You can meet software engineers, they would flash the new software into your phone

They are same design you can just say the size. Because that is what I am also after a flagship with a small form factor. The Xiaomi 14 is same size as the Xiaomi 13. S24U, S23 falls also in that small form factor category

Good morning boss.

Just saw your comment where you said you've advice people not to buy CN version with Global rom.. Well I didn't know this thread existed until I got my Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G from Aliexpress.

I get 4G on every other network except MTN (even the 4G is kind of weak sometimes in areas where my colleague would get full 4G on his phone).
On MTN I get only 3G (H+).
Started looking for solutions before I came accross this thread.

I can't even get 5G on the phone with any network (and I bought the phone particularly because of the 5G)

No NFC, No OTA (can't update the phone).

The phone is just 3 months old.
Besides the Network issue, Everything works fine. The phone is very fast (ram is upgradable), camera is good.

Is there any solution to these (No NFC, No OTA, poor network)?
Any workaround to this?

If I were to flash the CN Rom and select English as my language will it help??

Really hope to get a response from you or any person with experience about this!!!

Network is hardware related so no much you can do. You can get external solutions by getting a Mifi.

If the ROM installed is a valid Indian ROM as I can see from your image, the only reasons you may never get HyperOS is that HyperOS frowns at unlocked bootloader.

Your rom is the culprit, looks like a modified rom.

Modified: This rom is tied to a network carrier in Chile.

First, confirm that your bootloader is unlocked. You can easily check by rebooting your phone, if you see an opened padlock when the redmi logo comes up, then its unlocked

How did you know its an Indian ROM?
The bootloader is locked.

Can I flash a stock rom with the bootloader locked or I must unlock it first?

Good morning.
Please what app/site is this?

I'd like to flash my Redmi too.
But the bootloader is still locked.

Can I flash a stock rom without unlocking the bootloader?

If No, how can I go about unlocking the bootloader without issues?
And How can I find/select an Original Rom that would work well?

Currently I can't receive OTA

From the ROM code.

My fear is in flashing a Mediatek device. It comes with a lot of risks and technicality.

You can consult with GPtech and Grandmufti.

I had this exact issue but with an Infinix.

Exact same problem.

I also thought it was the battery cause the battery was weak too. Changed battery and it didn't stop rebooting.

Took it to a phone repair shop and they told me it was not battery issue but Power IC or something like that.
They changed the power stuff and the phone was good. Phone still works till today (dashed it to someone else to use)

Take it to an experienced phone engineer let them take a look at the phone.

Might be the same solution.

You'll need to unlock bootloader to flash any rom.
https://miuirom.org/phones/redmi-note-12-pro
You'll need to do some reading before flashing.

Thanks alot...

Already start the process.
I was asked to keep an active Mi Community account for more than 30 days before I apply "Bootloader Unlock"

I'll just have to wait it out till this time next month.

I selected the "Global HyperOS 1.0.3.0.UMOMIXM" for the Global Rom and it brought me to this page below (see attached picture.)

Am I to download the 3 files (Recovery ROM, Fastboot ROM, OTA Update)? or just the first 2 with the word "ROM"?
Hope you don't find this question silly... Ion know how these things work.

If you are changing a ROM. Fastboot ROM. If it is for normal update recovery ROM.

correct me if i'm wrong:
When you say "normal update", you mean like updating ios version from one ios version to another ()?
while fastboot is to change ROM entirely (like I intend to do)

what about the OTA file there?

For this case it is the fastboot rom you need. I will advise you download the miui 14 rom, later you can update to hyper os
