Thank you. I will attach western Union transactions he used in sending the money from US.

Also I have siblings in Canada, they have finished their masters with work permit awaiting their PR, can I write we want to visit them? At least we can stay in their house for the period and this will reduce the cost of accommodation.

Please advice

Yes, you will need an invitation letter from your siblings in Canada, along with a copy of their identity card and proof of accommodation.

I want to assume that this is for new applications. And 172 is about 5 months. Nov 2023 is 6 months already.

Please I have someone who wants to apply for a visit and has Uk, us, China and like 2 other visas. What’s the best way he can go about it.

Thank you.

He will apply normally, but his application might enjoy priority treatment because of the US visa, which means they will make a decision on his application quickly compared to those who don’t have US visas.

Also, they will ask him to upload only a few documents because of the US visa.

Hello Nairalanders!
So, I have a Canadian tourist visa gotten last year and I'm currently pregnant with the intent of going to give birth in Canada. I would need my mum to be there with me to help me as it's a multiple pregnancy but she doesn't have the visa.
We intend for my mum's best friend's daughter who is a PR to provide her with a letter of invitation and POF as her sponsor. Her best friend has been in Canada for a while now helping her daughter with the kids and we know the two besties will be happy to see each other.
My mum is a 66 years old widow who is being taken care of by her children.
Please, how do we ensure that she is not denied this visa as I can't cope by myself and definitely need help (airline policy) when returning with the babies.

I have a valid Australia, Schengen, USA visa, I have been to all countries mentioned and 12 other countries, I live in the uk too as well, it’s been 18 working days and I haven’t heard anything yet, still waiting.

Your mom can apply and has a chance based on her age, but where is the home tie here? She is a widow, not working, and being taken care of by her children. Your best approach is to include a letter from a church or any organization that she is committed to. Secondly, what do you mean by airline policy? I have seen single mothers travel for birth purposes to the USA and Canada, even to Mexico and Chile, with no issues.

Congratulations, submit both passports (the expired and renewed). The VFS officers will explain further to you.
Also write a letter to explain your situation, I am not sure webform can work at this moment as your application has already been approved.

Do not worry yourself, just carry both passports to the visa center. You will be fine with or without any webform. Your case is not about a missing or stolen passport. My guess was perfect and you matches the category of approval I have seen recently . Canada is not smiling now with visa approval for visitors applicant . The refusal rate is too high! Thanks and no thanks to many who claim asylum on a visit visa, and we all see the effect now.

The normal processing time for applications submitted in the UK is 281 days, or roughly 9 to 10 months.

However, if you hold a valid US visa, your processing time may be faster compared to those who don't have a US visa. Because you have a US visa, that may cut down on your processing time by half or more.

My friend, it's too early to be talking about an 18-day-old application submitted in the UK. If you don't hear from them after like 3 or 4 months, then you can reach out to them.

Some folks with valid US visas got decisions made on their applications within a week or two, while others waited for a long period of time.

The IRCC is unpredictable.
