In my opinion, no need. Considering that either one day or 5years …it’s same €80 unlike UK where you pay different rates and the issuance is at the discretion of the VO. I think you shouldn’t question this. It’s fair enough. Congrats again. Blessedsteph: 1 Like |

Thank you. You may be right. I am just thinking “what if” I have emailed them anyway and let’s hear from them. Meanwhile this also goes to prove that there’s no set rule to these visa stuff. Remember someone here said that after 1year visa, the next visa you get is 3yrs. So I was actually expecting 3 years for the 4 of us but look at me landing 5yrs visa just like that. Had to check the date well. Zoey1: |

For real there is no set rule. Stingy as Spanish embassy is, a couple first time travelers (generally) got a year from them in the past few days. While same Spanish embassy will be giving 2nd,3rd time travelers 4days, 5days, 8days Blessedsteph: |

Zoey1: It’s good you have admitted (the first gibberish) that you can buy it after getting the visa. When it’s time, you would still realize how buying insurances abroad can enhance your chances of getting your visas. Hope you meet visa pros and consular officials who would corroborate this. Don’t assume every applicant can’t afford buying it. You may not buy it. |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Zoey1: 2:45pm On May 22 |
Tell your stories to those who haven’t travelled before. You are not the consulate, they have been accepting the Nigerian insurances and not complaining. I use whatever insurance pleases me and none of your business because you aren’t paying. Save your breath. Replying would make you think you are making sense and I won’t give you that luxury of thought. That was how that Tiamiyu went to start Cho Cho Cho. Maybe you should go tell the consulates to stop accepting the Nigerian insurances then. Oversabi. Good day. VanuatuWycombe: 1 Like |

Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Blessedsteph: 8:12pm On May 22 |
Date of submission - 10th May 2024 (4 applicants) Documents submitted: Filled Application forms 1 passport photograph for adult 2 passport photographs for each child Introduction Letter Employment letter Pension certificate Work ID card 3 months payslip 3 months salary account statement 3 months personal USD account No objection letter Return flight reservation Hotel reservations Disneyland hotel booking Insurance Extras added For the kids: Consent letter signed by both parents Sponsorship letter Birth certificates Parents passport data pages Last term school report sheet for each child Note that: 1. Sponsorship letter had names of the 3 kids in it but photocopied into 3 2. introduction letter was done separately for each child with day-to-day details of itinerary 3. flight reservations, hotel bookings, bank statements and evidence of employment was submitted only for myself (the adult) since the applications are in one group so no need submitting one for each person. 4. insurance was from aiico and for 12 days duration. Cost us around 20k total for 4 of us. 5. children bellow 12 yrs don’t need to attend biometric. Just make sure you snap them passport according to the size on France website. 2 passports each child. If I remember anything else then I’d add it. Or pls feel free to ask for any clarification. Marcgrace: 4 Likes 1 Share |

I think it’s a glitch. 2days ago, they have full day openings from June 3rd and since yesterday it’s been saying no dates. Just give it a couple of more days it will reset. yerilistik: 2 Likes |

Hi. Sorry to bother you guys again. I have to be in France by next month and I just went on the TLS website. They said they're only accepting visa applicants from the 3rd of October. Please where are you guys applying from? What website do you use ? I'm confused and stressed. 1 Like |

Where did you see that? Abuja has dates from June 25th this morning. The info you read said “October 2023” . That’s an old update. Nonamexxx: |

Zoey, thank you for your response. I just want to say God bless you. I've gone to check again. I didn't see the 2023, it's also weird I saw the same thing on the travel France portal. Anyway, thank you so much Zoey1: |

Do you have any idea if I can use my mom as a sponsor for tourist visa? And does a newly registered CAC of like 2 weeks raise eyebrows? Do I need to write, along side submitting my application the reason why the CAC was just registered?. |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by yerilistik: 7:37pm On May 24 |
Zoey1: O yes I gave it another trial the next day early morning following our last chat and luckily plenty dates appeared from May 27 and I booked my date for 20 june which i wanted. The Olympic games is around the corner and i guess the demande for France visa is shooting up already and thats probably the reason dates are getting exhausted. Thanks again bro 1 Like |

I guess TLS is having issues with glitches. Checking today I saw May 27 in Lagos and Abuja remained at June 25. I still don’t understand .. both of them on Monday had dates only from June 3rd. yerilistik: |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by yerilistik: 10:25pm On May 24 |
Zoey1:Haa, i just hope they dont cancel my already booked dates. But how are you able to see the available dates if you have already booked or are you yet to book a date? As soon as I paid for my booking, it took me to the next page and I am unable to access available dates. |

Hello House, I have completed the France applications for family of 4, one adult and 3 underaged. On Tls for Lagos at about 6:am today the 27th there is no slot at all for the month of June only from the beginning of July - aug although travel dates is end of Aug but because of school break is in 2weeks as the oldest of the underage is over the age of 12 so physical appearance is required for biometrics. Are there any chances in getting a cancellation for June ? I know the olympics thing has increased slot demand and even if there may be cancellation it may be for one applicant and we are 4 or should we just go with first week in July before its all taken and keep checking if dates can be amended ? Keeping fingers crossed! |
