Igr is not an economic index because it's not verifiable anyone can claim anything

Igr means nothing zero in terms of economic growth

Did you google any state IGR report and you did not find it,

IGR is like a your bank account statement, if you are not doing well it is obvious you can't falsify it.
IGR is what measures a state credit worthiness

GDP is like your salary ... you can lie about it, you can walk into a bank n tell them you earn 1m in a month whereas naa 200k, ...

No creditor will rate you by your Salary, your statement of account is what gives the true financial capacity even loan sharks look into your account to decide how much they can borrow you .. not the salary to quote


IGR is the revenue each govt used to provide infrastructure and run the economy, therefore IGR propels/mobilizes economic growth while GDP measures economic growth, without IGR the govt is as good as broke, explain economic growth without Govt in play

Igr is your cash flow... GDP is your asset any wise business man knows that you can have large asset but low cash flow especially in the early stages of business

IMO GDP is twice that of Oyo over 2 times

Yet Oyo taxes more than IMO more than twice IMO.. .. And that's your business

But Oyo having more revenue is in no way any measure of it's asset or GDP

Mohomodu, but our Oyo State is down the totem pole dragging 30th position in education with states like Borno and Yobe in WAEC and JAMB statistics, while Ibo states are all in the top 6 in these indices, their schools winning international laurels and accolades.


I was in Omi-adio in Oyo last month, I could hardly find 2 people who could converse in pidgin, talk less of English. It was shocking.

Our yoruba people need to do better. Ibos are far ahead.
