The Lagos State Government has officially received the toxicology report regarding the passing of the late music sensation, Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known as Mohbad. Confirming the receipt of the test results, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, stated that the findings have been forwarded to the appropriate police authorities for further investigation.


This announcement comes after earlier statements made by the Director of Lagos State DNA and Forensic Centre, Richard Somiari, during a coroner’s inquest into Mohbad's death. Somiari had provided a timeline for the release of the toxicology report, estimating its completion within three to four weeks from March 20.



In response to concerns about the delay in determining the cause of Mohbad's passing, Somiari stressed the thorough nature of the investigation, aiming to consider all potential factors, including the possibility of poisoning. He reassured the public regarding the security and integrity of the autopsy process, highlighting the strict protocols in place for the handling and transportation of samples.
