Good Leadership by buzymarket(m): 5:30pm On Nov 11, 2015
The greatness of a nation, group or religion depends on the quality of dealership materials at the helm of its affairs. Times change, cultures evolve, technology marches on, but leadership principles remain constant like the stars of Heaven. A leader must have vision. And that vision must be espoused with passion. The vision must be kept in constant focus. A nation, group or religion’s vision is coterminous with that of it’s leadership.
Leadership inspires follower ship. A leader must earn their trust. He must be knowledgeable yet humble, wise, patient, caring, gracious and God-fearing. A leader must stand up for his people at all times. He must communicate and have the courage to walk his talk.

Leadership is often tested in a period of crisis. Perhaps God allows trials, to develop in our leader [at all levels] the fibre and mettle of leadership. These moments help us to develop faith, confidence and strength of character and they become salutary reference points for future experiences. “Any one can hold the helm when the sea is calm”. The real test of leadership is to calm the seas and keep hope alive.
The leadership we address is God’s gift. It is without limit or measure. It is spread abroad at His will. Therefore look not to the north, nor the south, nor the east, nor the west; leadership is within you. God has given us all a corner to demonstrate leadership in order to create dreams on our own.

Our nations, group or religion requires the dedication, faith and diligence of leadership. By leadership, we do not only refer to those in political positions [the president, ministers, legislators, governors, councilors etc]; our definition extends to different groups, religions, parents, guardians, teachers career executives, farmers and businessmen. It extends to you and all of us.
More than any other time in history of our nations, groups and religions, we needs courageous, purposeful leadership. The convoluted history of our political evolution as a federated mass demands this. We have witnessed pretentious moments of sudden change and cataclysm in our polity, and the world around us is racing into the future!!! Our leaders must not only be able to grapple with the complexities of our past, they must discern the future. They must trust in God’s unfailing love. After all “God will never fail us”.

LET US PRAY
Dear God, grant unto the people of our nations, our groups and our religious leadership qualities. Give us charity, confidence, perseverance, courage, boldness and wisdom to rebuild our country as well as Your world, learning from past mistakes. Help us to make patience our watchword as we strive to build the world of our dreams. Amen.
