Maybe the newspaper couldn't show as much as you wanted to see or the photographer made the mistake of not taking the pictures with a digital camera.

Seeing is believing they say! Just take a bus down to osun state and then you can deduce whether the Government has been doing anything or they've been wasting money on ads.

princemolak: Whats bad in a government showing its people aw far he as gone with the development of the state www.efiweblog.info
The people should see the development themselves and make commendations, just like its happening in Lagos state. Imagine Fashola paying for advert or billboard to advertise his achievement. I don't think it's right for any government to employ propaganda to pass on a message. my 2kobo.

He did not put the picture because he's not a publicity stunter lyk Uduaghan, Peter Obi, Rochas and Co... We all know Ogbeni Rauf is working in Osun state... if he had put say 10 pictures of infrastructures does that make him a performing governor?.

I'm in osun state presently,my opinion.....in the area of infrastructure,he is doing a great job provided he continues with the current speed.agriculture-fair.health-very poor,do not be deceived by the free health slogan,u need to visit the general hospitals,u will shed tears for this country....if a patient needs a surgical intervention, the relatives will provide the fuel for the ambulance and the generator that will power the theatre....other gists in the health sector will be a discussion for another day.education-with the renovation of old schools and the model colleges couple with the e-textbook initiative,if properly executed'the sector will be a blast.youth development-apart from the oyes initiative which has helped to put food on so many youth's table(try unemployment for a month)nothing much in that area.welfare of the people-fair.in all I think the guy is doing fairly well but time will surely tell.

My guy, what if so called "propaganda" is just the display of laziness by a people who do not like to read or get informed? For how long are we going to entertain the Nigerians who talk as if others should be their teachers? Why does OP not go and take pictures of "propaganda" and shame Aregbesola instead of just assuming a lack of pictures in a brochure is a "disappointment" ? Have we all not seen pictures of ongoing work in Osun that are not in the brochure OP painstakingly reproduces here? Does this not show that the Government is not into proving anything to anyone with pictures so far as genuine stakeholders, i.e Osun folks, are seeing and feeling progress?

I will give you a personal example. Edicolove, a Nairalander who hated Fashola with a passion, flooded Nairaland with the lie that "Fashola has not carried out one single drainage project in Lagos State". I did not even need to go beyond my own Street in Surulere to puncture that lie here with pictures I took myself of superb ongiong drainage work even as Lagos State was not interested in taking similar pictures to splash everywhere. Some of us don't understand what leaders concern themselves with.

So far as end users are happy, then the work of leaders are done. It is not their role to satisfy anyone who is not a stakeholder or end user. To that end, if Osun folks can see the changes then why should government obsess over pictures to convince opinion outside the State? It is for the OP to look for the information he wants and not make decisions based on absent information/pictures others are not obliged to supply him with.

We should all recognise our role enough to play our part in delivering the Nigeria we want. It is not enough for some to act like children who think others are adults who owe them something. We are all adults. I challenge the OP to go to Osun to see things for himself instead of talking simplistically and ridiculously as if a brochure has the power to sway his judgement .

Aregbe has been there for just over two years, were you expecting to see pictures of the National Stadium, National Theatre, Blue Line Rail etc? This is a State that has not known of service leadership before now. Give the man space, he is saddled with a very bad situation.Recall Oyinlola and no butimen in Lagos?
Remember Aregbe was Works commissioner in Lagos? He will deliver before 2014 election.

I'm presently schooling in Osun State, Okuku to be precise and I can say confidentially that Ogbeni Rauf is indeed working, we have stable power supply, the education sector is revamping, someone above me say the health sector is poor but I dare call him a lair, well to the best of my knowledge, we all enjoy free health care around in Okuku, Inisa and Ikirun with the Government owned hospital working 24/7 everyday. The only people you will see complaining about Ogbeni Aregbe are the NURTW and those PDP members. When i left Lagos Sept last year to resume school, I was seated with two Igbo girls that were posted to Osogbo for their NYSC program, when we reached Ode-Omu, they were asking me if we are in Osogbo, I told them NO, that we are in Ode-Omu, a small town, they were so surprised with the neatness and how developed the place is, they told me that if a small town is well developed like this, then how will the state capital looks like, they weren't disappointed when we get to Osogbo. Though there are still lots that Ogbeni have to do but he has done 110 more than his precedessor. There is room for improvement though. Osun a'dara oooo

I don't know y many ppl can't do without tribalism.i for one reside in osun state,i can authoritatively tell u dat d gov of osun is working.many ppl talking nonsense here don't see beyond dier very nose.the achievement of aregbe is far beyond oyes now and you can't jst judge by an ordinary pics becos d project are still WIP in terms of infrastructures lik road construction,d middle sch's in most of d towns in osun state.e.g of those project i ve seen are;4 lane expressway 4rm aiyetoro in osogbo to ila odo,d boundry btw osun & kwara state.all d major towns in osun state now are witnessing dev,d construction of d middle sch has started in all d cities.in terms of employment of labour, osun state is doing well cos d construction of d middle sch are been done by direct labour.d development are numerous dat i can't finish mentioning here.ogbeni aregbe is really doing well only dat he is an outspoken gov, dats y many ppl don't lik his style of leadership.

Ogbeni Aregbesola, though started late but working real hard. He's working on project that will last the next 50 years. He's a blessing in disguise. Osun will wear a complete new look by the time he's through with his plan. Lets support him.

Lovely and balanced post. Aregbesola and others must not relent because Nigerians are now setting the bar high.
