The space is very BIG, and the sun is just like lighting up a candle stick in the middle of a big football stadium at night. You know what the outcome will be....

If this is true, the best and the easiest way to understand the whole thing. Even the illiterate opportunist here will grab. Thanks

Same Allah your Arab and Hausa Christians dey worship as written in their Bibles!

The traditional worshipers in Yoruba called God Ọlọrun or Eledumare does that means Yoruba Christians who called God Eledumare or Ọlọrun are worshipping the same God?

Hahaha. Remind me again how many years elapsed after Christ before Islam reared its ugly head?

You should remind me how many years after Moses for Jesus to come? Why don't you follow Judaism by that same thought?

No, i have proof!

The fact is evil is more than good. Darkness dominate light in real sense. Spoilt wine +good wine =spoilt wine. (+) × (-) = -
Mj4199:
In the vast expanse of space, where darkness seems to dominate, the presence of sunlight might seem contradictory. How can there be sunlight in space, yet it appears so dark? This apparent paradox arises from the unique characteristics of space and the way light interacts with it.

Firstly, let’s delve into why space appears dark. Unlike Earth’s atmosphere, which scatters sunlight in all directions, space is mostly empty. There are very few particles—atoms, molecules, or dust—in the vast void between celestial bodies. As a result, there are minimal obstacles for light to scatter off, leading to the perception of darkness.

However, despite the darkness of space, the Sun remains a prominent source of light. The Sun emits an immense amount of energy in the form of electromagnetic radiation, including visible light. As this light travels through the vacuum of space, it encounters little resistance and continues to propagate until it encounters an object.

One might wonder then, why doesn’t the light from the Sun illuminate all of space, eliminating the darkness? The answer lies in the vast distances between celestial bodies. Space is incomprehensibly vast, with light taking significant time to travel from one point to another. While sunlight does spread throughout space, its intensity diminishes with distance according to the inverse square law. As a result, by the time sunlight reaches our eyes—or the sensors of telescopes—the intensity is greatly reduced, contributing to the perception of darkness.

Furthermore, space is not completely devoid of matter. Though sparse, there are interstellar clouds, asteroids, comets, and other celestial objects scattered throughout the cosmos. These objects can absorb or scatter light, further contributing to the darkness of space by obstructing the path of sunlight.

Another factor to consider is the human perception of darkness. Our eyes adapt to the environment we are in, and in the absence of surrounding light sources, the contrast between the darkness of space and the brightness of celestial objects like stars and planets becomes more pronounced. Thus, even though there is sunlight in space, the overall perception remains one of darkness due to the vast distances, sparse matter, and human visual adaptation.

In conclusion, the apparent paradox of sunlight coexisting with darkness in space can be attributed to several factors, including the vast distances between celestial bodies, the sparse distribution of matter, and human perception. While sunlight does permeate space, its intensity diminishes over distance, and the absence of scattering particles leads to the perception of darkness. Understanding these dynamics enriches our appreciation of the cosmos and the interplay between light and darkness in the universe.

Mumu, so you already have a preconceived mindset, now disturbing us.

Does my question in line with science or not?

I thought you were a science enthusiast or space enthusiast.

Yes and more than you.

Next time open this in the religious section.

I don't need to.

There are things that science can't decipher or understand

So if questions are asked based on what science can't decipher or understand, does that mean a wrong question was asked?

but the basics, like the questions you posed have all been answered by science...

Never!

for instance the earth is not 6000 years old

Who said the earth is 6000 years old in the first place?

we know that space is vast because of calculations and space craft man have sent to space. If our computers and equipments for calculating distances on Earth work, why will we doubt the calculations science brings out about space?

You started with space is vast and went on to talk about our measurements on earth.

Nothing human can do to day that can surpass the speed of light.

The common measurement we employ on earth today are Radio wave, sound e.t.c.

Can you tell me the equipment used to measure the size of the our galaxy?

For a clue, sending information to and fro from Earth to Mars and vis versa will takes approximately 22 minutes and that was because there is already a receiver and sender in Mars.

Stop mixing up religion and science... everything about religion are encapsulated in a book

No! Maybe your own religion.

science is beyond that

Science can't be beyond human knowledge.

Or we can say science is limited to human knowledge.

and religion is not the way to the truth or a better world, its more about manipulation.

Your opinion not generally acceptable.
Re: Why Is There Sun In The Space And The Space Is Still Very Dark by optimusprime2(m): 5:45pm On Apr 29
The answer to this question is in one word; "Distance" and in physics, that word has a formula which is= Speed × Time

When you factor in the speed of light,
The average distance between your eyes and the void from your vantage point,
And the average time it takes light to get to your eyes for you to perceive the refraction from the source....

That is one of the main reasons why space appears dark in the presence of the Sun and other stars.

That is fact.

The attachment already complicated everything, which means THEY DON'T CALL ON THE SAME GOD.

The Allah Arab Christian called upon, Has A Son and His Son died on the Cross. So it can be the same God with Muslim Allah.

Omo this is a very brutal topic. For once i'm proud to say i am a nairalander. This is quite inquisitive, well to answer your question, we all know the sun is made up of fusions of Helium and Hydrogen gases, while it is stagnant and the solar system rotates and revolves around the sun, the light from the sun is just focused on our own solar system. While the outer space or spaces beyond our universe which stretches to billions of miles remains dark.

Great post!
Let me add this.

Space isn’t lit up by sunlight because it doesn’t have an atmosphere. Only certain planets do.
Now, an atmosphere here is a mixture of gasses trapped and held in place by the gravitational force of an astronomical body around it. So we talk of torrents, vapor or clouds etc.

So how does this affect the Sunlight as we see it?
First the Sun emits a huge amount of electromagnetic waves including the visible light waves we can see. The white light you see is actually a combination of different wave energies from violet to blue, green, yellow, orange red… with red having the highest wavelength . As a result of this, the atmospheric elements refracts the light energies with lesser density on the spectrum which happens to be the blue 💡 light. That’s why the sky appears blue during the day, and yellowish orange at sunset when the direct rays of the Sun would be passing through thickest levels of the atmosphere, scattering the blue lights, leaving us with orange red view from the spectrum band.
The Moon doesn’t have an atmosphere, hence its sky, if observed from its surface, would be dark, setting the Sun distinctly outlined as opposed to glowing, lit up view on Earth.
The absence or presence of an atmosphere makes the whole difference.

This question is borne out of curiosity.

First, you need to understand that space as you called it is unimaginably vast.

The sun is just like a little candle stick in a small portion of a part of you sitting room.

You have many rooms in your house and their many houses in your estate with many estate in your city and so many cities in your state.

Remember their are many othe candles in other rooms in your house and other houses and so on

So ask yourself if that little candle in your sitting room can provide light to all other rooms in other houses in your street talk less of the rest of other estates and so on.

The Sun (Sol) is the only star in our solar system
Their are billions of other stars with other bodies within our galaxy (the milky way alone) and lastly their are billions of other galaxy within our universe.

Pardon

Learn to know where to write there and their

What is their instead of there?
Re: Why Is There Sun In The Space And The Space Is Still Very Dark by WhoDeyHause: 8:49pm On Apr 29
Cause the sun is only a small fragment embedded in space which is unlimited and reaches far out as the eyes can see. If you have a candle or torchlight it would reflect in your immediate surroundings or where you point it too. That's how the sun also faces us and reflects only in our part but can't to the entire universe.

biggest rubbish I have seen all day... The earth is guarded by a firmament which serves medium for reflection. This justify why the earth is flat... The bible said it water below water above... So the water above is like a shiny medium... The space logic I don't really know. But the sky is actually dark... But if you loom closely at night u will realize water is present ... This also explains why we can only see seven colours remember black and white are not colours
